RITB Marathon Training Sessions 2010

For the fourth year, Running in the Burbs will again be providing training sessions for those aiming for the 10km, half marathon or marathon at the St George Melboure Marathon Festival. Over a 12 week period commencing on Saturday the 24th of July, we will be conducting a range of training sessions each week in the eaastern and southern suburbs of Melbourne. These sessions will comprise:

Tuesday 6.15 for a 6.30pm start from Waverley Park, Mulgrave (Meeting under the VFL Mosaic, Cnr Sir Kenneth Luke Bvd & Stadium Circuit, Mulgrave - Mel 80 H2)
A quality session designed to suit all levels of runner and designed to make you faster and stronger on race day. This session will include intervals, fartlek or hills and will be tailored to suit runners by our expert coaches.

Saturday 8.00 for an 8.15am start from Jells Park (Meeting at Madelaine's cafe, Cnr Waverley & Jells Rds, Wheelers Hill - Mel 71 K7)
Or
Sunday 7.45 for a 8.00am start at various locations
Longer runs designed to improve your endurance and enable you to cover your chosen race distance with confidence. Enjoy the refreshing and sometimes challenging terrain of the Dandenong Creek Parklands and other areas during these sessions. These sessions will be guided by experienced leaders and comprise a range of distances and speeds. Saturday runs will be aimed at 10km and slower HM runners, while Sunday runs will be catering for full marathoners and faster HM runners.

The only cost to participate in these sessions is a gold coin donation to charity
